A former dormitory of Klaipėda State College has stirred up the city’s real estate market. After renovating the building on Jaunystės Street and offering 76 economy-class apartments for sale, the developers of the “Moon Gardens” project recorded a summer sales record. Since the beginning of the year, 33 apartments have already been sold, with the majority of transactions taking place during the summer months.
“We launched the project after identifying a clear shortage of new, affordably priced housing in Klaipėda. The response from buyers exceeded all expectations. According to experts, this project has created the largest supply of new housing in Klaipėda in the past three years. And while the real estate market showed barely any signs of life at the start of summer, thanks to our transactions, July sales grew more than sixfold,” shares project manager Lina Baronaitė.
Compact studio and two-room apartments are offered, with prices starting from €29,000 for units with partial finishing. Fully finished and furnished apartments start from €40,000. Buyers of fully finished units could choose from three distinct interior styles.
One features a coastal theme with earthy tones and natural wood furniture.
The second is a stylish take on the loft aesthetic, combining industrial elements with harmonious grey, black, and green hues.
The third stands out with an artistic flair, blending modern shapes with bold, vibrant accents.

“The decision to offer fully furnished apartments proved to be a great success. Buyers are very diverse — from young families looking to move in immediately, to investors seeking ready-to-rent properties,” says Lina Baronaitė.
Those investing in rental property are likely to appreciate the strategic location — within a 4 km radius there are three universities, and Klaipėda’s Old Town is just a 6-minute drive away. It is estimated that long-term rentals in this project could yield a double-digit return on investment.
