About the role
We are looking for a General Manager to lead day-to-day operations of NOA VILLAS, a villa resort in Lapland, Finland. This is a full-time, year-round leadership role. During the peak season (November–March) the General Manager is expected to be on-site. Outside the peak season, work can be organized in a hybrid model (remote work combined with planned on-site visits, depending on operational needs).
The General Manager holds full operational, financial, and strategic responsibility for the company’s performance. This role ensures profitable operations, service quality, risk control, team effectiveness, and long-term business development, while acting in the best interests of the shareholders. The General Manager is the ultimate decision-maker in daily operations and the primary accountable person for results.
Responsibilities
- Overall business performance: take overall responsibility for operational delivery and financial results, ensuring profitable operations, service quality, and long-term development.
- Strategy & growth: define and execute short-, mid-, and long-term plans; set annual/quarterly goals; identify growth opportunities (services, pricing, partnerships) and drive implementation.
- Financial management & control: prepare and manage budgets; monitor cash flow; ensure cost efficiency and financial discipline across operations; maintain accurate financial data.
- Revenue & commercial performance: oversee occupancy, pricing, and service sales; identify underperformance and implement corrective actions.
- Marketing & brand oversight: define and control marketing strategy aligned with revenue and occupancy goals; ensure consistent brand positioning across channels; approve campaigns, promotions, discounts, and pricing changes; track channel performance and ROI.
- Guest experience & service quality: set and enforce service standards; ensure high guest satisfaction; handle escalations and ensure fast, professional resolution of issues.
- Operations leadership: ensure smooth daily operations across guest communication/reception, housekeeping, maintenance, and other on-site services; implement scalable routines and continuous improvement.
- Third-party contracts & partnerships: approve and manage supplier/partner agreements; ensure commercial benefit, legal clarity, and service quality; renegotiate or terminate underperforming contracts.
- Risk & crisis management: act as the primary decision-maker during incidents and operational failures; protect reputation and ensure rapid response and damage control.
- Team leadership & HR: build and lead an accountable team; ensure onboarding, performance management, and disciplinary actions when required (new hires subject to Lunvio Team approval).
- Other General Manager duties: carry out any other responsibilities that are reasonably expected in a General Manager role to ensure the successful operation and development of the property.
Requirements
- 3+ years of proven experience in a General Manager / Operations Manager / Hotel Manager role in hospitality (hotel/resort or similar), with end-to-end responsibility for operations, team leadership, and cost control.
- Strong hands-on ability to run operations end-to-end.
- Proven leadership: you can set standards, coach a team, and ensure consistent execution under pressure.
- Strong planning and problem-solving mindset; you prevent issues, not only react to them.
- Confident communication skills with guests and partners; high service orientation.
- Ability to work on-site in Lapland during peak season (November-March).
- Very good English is required; Finnish is a strong advantage; additional languages are a plus.
What we offer
- Competitive monthly gross salary: € 5000 – 7000
- A key leadership role in a distinctive hospitality project in Finnish Lapland.
- Year-round employment with clear seasonal rhythm: on-site in peak season (Nov-Mar) and hybrid flexibility outside the season.

- High autonomy and real ownership – ability to shape standards, routines, and guest experience.
- International team environment and growth opportunities as the project develops further.
